Mesics Metabol Pro – Lactate Control Solution, 2 × 2.5 ml
The Mesics Metabol Pro Lactate Control Solution is designed for quality control of blood lactate measurements performed with the Mesics Metabol Pro. It enables verification that the measuring device, test strips, and measurement process are functioning correctly.
The set contains two control solutions with different concentration levels. This allows the measurement accuracy of the system to be checked at both a low and a high control level.
Reliable Quality Control
The control solutions contain defined lactate concentrations. When applied to a lactate test strip, the lactate reacts with the reagents in the test strip. The measured value can then be compared with the control range specified for the respective batch.
The two control levels are:
- Level 1 (Low): 3.5–5.9 mmol/L
- Level 2 (High): 14.5–18.9 mmol/L
The batch-specific control ranges must be observed and must not be transferred between different batches.
Easy to Use
The Lactate Control Solution is used together with a compatible Mesics Metabol Pro lactate test strip. The solution should be shaken thoroughly before use.
The control solution is particularly suitable for regular verification of the measurement system, after extended periods of non-use, or whenever there is uncertainty about the proper functioning of the device and test strips.
Storage and Shelf Life
The control solutions should be stored at 2–32 °C. The shelf life is 12 months when unopened. Once opened, the solutions can be used for 3 months or until the stated expiration date, whichever comes first.
