Chatanooga Theta Indications:

This physical therapy unit is suitable for treating most injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system, as well as for postoperative care following joint surgery and for treating various pain conditions.

As an NMES device, it is indicated for the following conditions:

• Delaying or preventing disuse atrophy
• Maintaining or increasing mobility
• Muscle re-education
• Relief of muscle spasms
• Increasing local blood circulation

As a TENS device, it is indicated for the following conditions:

• Symptomatic relief and treatment of chronic, persistent pain
• Adjunctive treatment for acute pain following surgery and trauma
• Relief of pain associated with arthritis

As a pulsed current device, it is indicated for the following conditions:

• Reduction of edema (using a negative electrode)
• Reduction of muscle spasms
• Influence on local blood flow (under the negative electrode)
• Delay or prevention of disuse atrophy
• Facilitation of voluntary motor function
• Maintenance of increased range of motion
