Mesics Metabol Pro – Cholesterol Control Solution, 2 × 2.5 ml
The Mesics Metabol Pro cholesterol control solution is designed for quality control of cholesterol measurements performed with the Mesics Metabol Pro. It enables verification that the measuring device, test strips, and measurement process are functioning correctly.
The set contains two control solutions with different concentration levels. This allows the measurement system to be checked at two control levels and the proper function of the cholesterol test strips to be verified.
Reliable Quality Control
The control solutions contain defined cholesterol concentrations. When used with a compatible Mesics Metabol Pro cholesterol test strip, the cholesterol reacts with the reagents in the test strip.
The measured value can then be compared with the batch-specific control range. This allows you to determine whether the measurement system is operating within the specified tolerances.
The control solution is particularly suitable for:
- Regular quality control
- Checking the measuring device and test strips
- Checking new test strip batches
- Troubleshooting unusual or unexpected measurement results
Two Control Levels
The set contains two control solutions for different measurement ranges:
- Level 1 (Low): 3.5–5.9 mmol/L
- Level 2 (High): 14.5–18.9 mmol/L
The specified control ranges are batch-specific and must not be transferred to other batches.
Application and Storage
The control solution should be shaken thoroughly before use. The solution is then applied to the appropriate cholesterol test strip according to the instructions for use.
The control solutions should be stored at 2–32 °C. When unopened, they have a shelf life of 12 months. Once opened, they remain stable for 3 months or until the printed expiration date, whichever comes first.
