Mesics Metabol Pro – Glucose Control Solution, 3 × 2.5 ml
The Mesics Metabol Pro glucose control solution is designed for quality control of blood glucose measurements performed with the Mesics Metabol Pro. It enables verification that the measuring device, test strips, and measurement process are functioning correctly.
The set contains three control solutions with different glucose concentrations. This allows the measurement system to be checked at low, normal, and high control levels.
Reliable Quality Control
The control solutions contain defined glucose concentrations. When used with a compatible Mesics Metabol Pro glucose test strip, the glucose reacts with the reagents in the test strip.
The measured value can then be compared with the batch-specific control range. This allows you to verify that the measuring device, test strips, and measurement process are functioning correctly.
The three control levels are:
- Level 1 (Low): 0.7–3.3 mmol/L
- Level 2 (Normal): 5.0–7.6 mmol/L
- Level 3 (High): 13.0–20.0 mmol/L
The control ranges are batch-specific and apply exclusively to the respective batch.
Easy to Use
The control solution should be shaken thoroughly before use. The solution is then applied to the appropriate glucose test strip according to the instructions for use.
The control measurement is intended exclusively for functional and quality control of the measurement system and must not be used to determine personal blood glucose levels.
Storage and Shelf Life
The control solutions should be stored at 2–32 °C. The shelf life is 12 months when unopened. Once opened, the solutions can be used for 3 months or until the stated expiration date, whichever comes first.
