Electrotherapy is the medical application of the electric current. The current rating and frequencies are individually adjusted and they depend on the time of treatment in the healing process. 

The effect of electrotherapy

Electrical currents cause pain relief (analgesia) through the movement of electrically charged particles (positive and negative ions). 

With electrotherapy you're trying to achieve: 

• Promotion of blood circulation
• Stimulation of muscle activity
• Influence of nerve and pain management (pain relief)
• Heating of the skin
• Stimulation of metabolic processes and strengthen of the body resistance
